My Approach

We will meet for an initial session to determine what you want out of therapy. I offer a safe, compassionate space where you can feel deeply heard and supported. I will meet you exactly where you are.

I primarily use a parts work approach, also known as Internal Family Systems (IFS). Have you ever noticed different “parts” of you showing up at different times? Maybe there’s a perfectionistic part, a part who doesn’t feel motivated, an anxious part, or a hurt inner child — and then other parts that want those feelings to just go away.

In IFS, we understand that these parts develop over time to protect you. And importantly — there are no bad parts! Each one has a purpose. Together, we’ll explore the parts that are present in your life now, and you’ll begin to connect more deeply with your core Self — the calm, confident, compassionate inner leader who can guide your life with greater peace and clarity.

When appropriate, I also integrate Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to help clients process traumatic memories and emotional blocks. Both IFS and EMDR are evidence-based, trauma-informed approaches that can support lasting healing and personal growth.

Providing you with a safe space to discover all parts of you

I'm so glad you're here. I’m a Licensed Resident in Counseling with a genuine, compassionate approach to therapy. I bring over 20 years of experience in healthcare to my work and feel honored to support individuals on their journeys toward healing and self-discovery.

As a therapist, I work with teens, adults, and older adults facing challenges such as anxiety, trauma and PTSD, chronic illness, grief, and life transitions. I practice from a trauma-informed lens and draw on modalities like Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). I completed IFS training through the Internal Family Systems Institute and EMDR training through EMDRIA.

In addition to my counseling work, I am also a licensed Nurse Practitioner While I do not provide medical care in this setting, my background in healthcare gives me a deep understanding of the emotional and physical challenges that often accompany chronic illness, medical trauma, and complex health journeys. This perspective allows me to support clients with compassion, insight, and a truly integrative approach that honors the mind-body connection.

I hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from George Mason University and a Master’s in Family Nurse Practitioner from Georgetown University. I’ve also trained as a Health Coach through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition.

    “A Little About Me”

Outside of the therapy space, I enjoy spending time with my family, friends, and my Boston terrier, Georgie. I love being outdoors, hiking, practicing yoga, exploring meditation, listening to live music, and learning about all things related to wellness and lifestyle medicine. I’m easy to talk to and committed to creating a warm, safe, and nonjudgmental space where you can be your authentic self.
